The Challenge
The City of Chesapeake is dwarfed by neighboring Virginia Beach, a tourism giant and Norfolk, a bustling urban center.

The Realization
The City of Chesapeake offers acres of natural beauty including over 22 miles of wave and wind free water. Here tourist and residents alike can escape the overcrowded Virginia Beach oceanfront and concrete landscape of Norfolk, and just breathe.

The Solution
We created a tourism marketing campaign which positions Chesapeake as a place of escape with all creative executions speaking to the profound satisfaction found in moments of minutia the simple pleasures-  cooking the fish you caught over a fire, seeing a blue heron for the first time. These moments are what life is all about. Here your life is richer.

Results
With the exception of 2020 (Covid) the average daily rate for hotel occupancy, local tax receipt and RevPar has steadily risen and the Conference Center has met and/or exceeded their goals.
